Autumn Morning Farm offers a variety of 3 lb. Italian Package Bee options for New as well as Experienced Beekeepers. Package Bees are available for pickup in the Spring.

Autumn Morning Farm offers Italian Bee Packages with three queen options: Buckfast, Italian or Varroa Sensitive Hygiene (VSH) to allow beekeepers to add genetic diversity to their apiary and work towards more "Natural" and "Treatment Free" Beekeeping.

Italian Queens produce off-spring that are gentle and calm, lay a solid brood pattern, producing lots of bees late into the fall and produce a surplus of honey.

Varroa Sensitive Hygiene(VSH) Queens are a great part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) System in working towards decreasing chemical use in the hive. VSH Bees are exceptionally gentle and calm, have a moderate tendency to swarm, rapid population buildup in early spring, are frugal with their resources therefore over-winter with a smaller cluster size and fewer stores, excellent foragers, honey producers and comb builders.

Buckfast Queens: build up the colony numbers quickly in the spring. They are very gentle, easy to work with and are excellent honey producers. They have a low tendency to swarm and are frugal in the use of their winter stores.

IMPORTANT: Our pick-up dates are subject to change due to weather conditions, so please call ahead or revisit our website for updates to our schedule.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Package Bee orders can be cancelled up to 30 days before delivery date with a $15.00 per package fee. Package Bee orders cannot be cancelled within 30 days of delivery date unless we can re-sell your order. If we re-sell your order we will refund your order minus the $15.00 per bee package.
